Be apart of the future of SPLASH the Delaware River Floating Classroom.

 

SPLASH has delighted school-age and adult groups with 1.5 hour educational sails on the Delaware River since 2004. In early 2020, operational considerations led SPLASH leadership to decide to sell the beloved Steamboat (SPLASH I).

In consultation with professional Captains, SPLASH leadership determined that replacing the steamboat with a twin-engine pontoon boat will enable us to provide the best possible experience for students. Pontoon boats allow for versatile interior configurations and provide a stable platform for microscopes and other scientific equipment. SPLASH II – the new Floating Classroom- is a 40’x10’ pontoon vessel rated to carry a minimum of 30 passengers (including captain and first mate).
